Welcome to the The Speakeasy version of Cocktail Bar locations per city.
When I travel to cities, i enjoy chatting with the local bartenders to get their list of great bars to check out. I then write them down and seek them out. That collection of names will end up on this page! If you know of a place I should check out, just leave a comment and i’ll check it out and then add it ! This list was created prior to COVID to make sure it’s still open! As I find these closed ones, i’ll remove it from the list. Also, if they accept reservations i’ll include that as well.
NYC Places
- On The Rocks (the only place to go for bourbon) – Hells Kitchen Area
- Haswell Greens – Great live music, great cocktails, great for a group. Only go when everyone has a buzz, its more fun
- PDT (Please Don’t Tell) Speakeasy – make reservations (its inside Crif Dogs) – RESY
- Amor Y Amargo – Great place to hang out while waiting for your PDT Reservation
- Death and Co – Hangout here while waiting for PDT
- Nubeluz – The Ritz-Carlton Rooftop Bar – Jose Andres place – amazing views
- Faces and Names – OpenTable – Great
- Bo Peep – (Connected to Ragtrader) great speakeasy spot, downstairs, live music and great cocktails (Resy)
- Valerie’s – Great Gin Bar with other great cocktails. It gets packed so get there early to get a spot at the bar.
- Tanner Smith – Walkin or use RESY
- Bathtub Gin – Killer Speakeasy – behind a coffee house (use Resy app to book)
- Patent pending – Really cool Speakeasy – RESY
- Raines Law room – RESY
- Campbell bar (grand central train- hard to find) – VERY cool vibe ! – RESY

- Refinery Rooftop Bar = awesome view !
- Spyglass Rooftop Bar – Amazing Skyline Views
- Public – roof top bar
- Back room – speakeasy
- Gallow Green – rooftop bar (top of McKintry hotel)
- Burke and Willis (2nd floor is a speakeasy /you can order food too)
- Owls tail – upper west side
- Prohibition (live music)
- 21 club (restaurant/bar)
West Village Area
- The Up and Up – hidden gem of a cocktail bar! Book via RESY
- Employees only – speakeasy (psychic front of store, walk in) Resy
- Bar Nena – Great Tequila Selection, really cool vibe – use RESY
- The Garret – West Village. Such a SUPER cool Speakeasy experience. it’s INSIDE a Five Guys -walk towards the back.
- Katana Kitten – Haven’t been – but recomended by 2 bartenders
- Sip and Guzzle – order the Miami Vice Negroni – Haven’t been yet

- Gaonnuri – Dinner Location – ICONIC Views !
